TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By ordering from Litty’s Larder, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

3. General
We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any such changes will take effect from when they are posted on the website or emailed out to you and it is your responsibility to read the Terms and Conditions on each occasion that you use www.littyslarder.com website or book a cake with us. Your continued use of the website shall signify your acceptance to be bound by the latest Terms and Conditions, and your booking of a bespoke cake order shall signify your acceptance to be bound by the latest Terms and Conditions.
When you place an order we collect some personal and transactional information (e.g. name, address, email address, contact telephone number) in order to process your order. For details on how we use this information, please read our Privacy Policy at www.littyslarder.com.

4. Ordering and Payment
For online orders, full payment is required to secure your order. Once you have completed your transaction, you will receive an email confirming your order, which will also be your receipt of payment.
If you are ordering a bespoke order, then once the details have been agreed with us, we will send you an invoice and require full payment to confirm your order. Quotes will be valid for 30 days from issue.

5. Changes to orders
Once your order has been agreed, we may need to make minor changes to your order if we can’t source certain ingredients. Changes for bespoke orders may be made up to 7 days prior to delivery where possible. Less than 7 days, changes to the design and flavour of the cake may incur an additional charge.

6. Cancellations

Cancelling a bespoke cake order less than 1 week before order date (not wedding cakes, see section 8. Wedding Cakes for info pertaining specifically to Wedding Cakes) will result in a refund of 50%. Cancellation of a bespoke cake order less than 48 hours, there will be no refund issued as ingredients will already have been bought and baking will have already commenced.

Online order can be cancelled up to 72 hours prior to delivery and a full refund will be issued. If you need to cancel then please email us at littyslarder@gmail.com

7. Delivery and Collection
Online orders, where postal delivery is used, will be by Royal Mail. Postal Brownie Boxes will be delivered by Royal Mail Guaranteed Next Day Delivery. In some rare instances, mail can take up to 14 days to be delivered. If it hasn’t been delivered by 7 days of posting, please email us at littyslarder@gmail.com
Delivery for monthly sweet treat selection boxes will be between 9am-2pm on the delivery day. If you are not going to be in, please leave instructions as to where to leave your box.
Delivery/collection for non-online orders will be agreed when final details for your cake are confirmed. 

8. Wedding cakes
We require a non-refundable deposit of £100 to book your wedding cake. In cases where customer requests a cancellation, the deposit will not be refunded, this is to cover any design work, wedding tasting and loss of other bookings where we have had to turn away other customers for the date booked. The final balance is due 4 weeks before the date for your wedding. I will send a reminder one week before, then 1 day before the balance is due as a gentle reminder. However, if the full remaining balance is not paid by the date it is due, as stated in your invoice, I won’t be able to create your wedding cake for you. 

I only use organic edible flowers, or naturally grown, non-sprayed, and no poisonous varieties in my cake designs. I would dress the cake before or after delivery to the wedding venue, depends on final design. The final design is to be confirmed 1 month prior to the wedding, after which any changes may incur an additional charge.

If for whatever reason you need to change your wedding date and/or venue, please get in touch. We can move the date once to another date, providing the new date is available, and the location is within the area we cover for wedding cakes (East Lothian, Edinburgh and The Borders). This may incur extra charge depending on location, and any changes to numbers.
If you have a wedding planner for your special day, I can liaise with your wedding planner on the run up to the wedding to confirm a suitable delivery day and time. 

Litty’s Larder will deliver, and set up your wedding cake. Collection of wedding cakes by the customer is not available only delivery by Litty’s Larder. Once the cake has been delivered and set up, we can accept no responsibility for any damage that may occur by venue staff members.

Covid-19. If the wedding is to take place whilst Covid-19 regulations are in place, the wedding cake will be delivered, set up and return/collection of wedding cake stands, in accordance with the Covid-19 regulations for weddings in place on the date of the wedding. 

9. Allergens

Due to the nature of my kitchen, Litty’s Larder can’t guarantee any of the products are 100% free from allergens of nuts, peanuts, gluten, wheat, dairy, eggs, soya, sesame, sulphites or any other allergens as a range of allergens are used in the kitchen. However, if you have any queries regarding allergies, intolerances or dietary preferences, please get in touch and I will be more than happy to chat further about what I could provide. Any allergies/intolerances/dietary requirements must be discussed prior to confirming the booking.

10. Refunds and returns
If for any reason you are not 100% happy with your cake order, please contact us by email to littyslarder@gmail.com. We ask that you return the product to us for quality inspection or provide photographic evidence within 48 hours from receipt of the order. If the product is faulty or misdescribed we will either correct the mistake or provide a replacement prior to your event. If this is not possible we will offer some or all of your money back.

11. Subscriptions

Payment will be taken on the date you sign up. Boxes will be delivered on the last Saturday of each month. You can cancel anytime. Please note if you decide to cancel, and have already made the payment for the month, providing you cancel within 7 days of your next delivery, you will receive a full refund. Less than 7 days, no refund will be issued.
